Carving Away!!

The kids picked out their own designs for their pumpkins this year and did it all by themselves!! They were very patient and worked really hard to finish them. You can see the determination on their faces!!

Of course there was some goofing around!!!

These are mine and Richie's...

Pumpkin Picking!!!

So, Richie got home from deployment on Oct 11 and he had two weeks off to "adjust" to home life again. What better way than to go to the pumpkin patch!! We headed to the one and only place in the panhandle that actually grows pumpkins...We love it though, I wouldn't have it any other way. I will drive the hour to get our pumpkins!! The farm is actually a peanut farm, but they go all out for the fall and have slides, hayrides, and games for the kids!!

Sand Sculptures

We went to the annual sand sculpture contest again this year and we saw some pretty cool things. The first day we went we saw the beginning of the sculptures and then on the last day they were complete and looked amazing. I let the kids use the camera this day and they took all the pictures!!

First Day of School

OH MY GOSH...my kids are going up way too fast. I am not sure I like it at all :( Seth is in 3rd grade and Grace is in Kindergarten...WHAT!!! Now, what to do with my day...I know I said that I would start work again once the kids were both in school, but right now I am enjoying the house being quiet and volunteering at the school in Grace's class. I absolutely LOVE the teachers this year. Grace's teacher is Mrs. Bailey and she reminds me so much of my mom!! Seth's teacher is Mrs. Dean. They are both very structured.
