Happy Easter!!!

This is the post were you get to meet some of Richie's family. With his Dad having a camera in his hand most of the time too and Richie walking around with our camera, I don't think we have a picture of the parents, but you will meet some of sisters and their kids. Easter Sunday we went to his parents house for some BBQ chicken and an egg hunt. First we have Seth in his Easter best. He insisted on wearing a tie this year and picked out his outfit all by himself.
Grace wore her purple dress that she has been waiting to wear for a month now. The weather in Illinois has not been nice enough to wear sun dresses, BUT with it being 80+ degrees in Arizona she was more than willing to wear the dress.
Richie and his little girl. (The flower in her hair is a rose from Grandpa's garden that she got caught picking so Grandpa got out the scissors and cut a rose for all the ladies that day)

Me and my little man.
Ok, here comes the family. First we have Richie's Grandpa and his brother Don. (Grandpa is on the right)

Richie's mom, Marcia.

Richie's older sister, Lisa.
Her husband, Micheal and his mother, Anna.
Their kids, Mickey and Becca. Connor is on the right (he is the son of Richie's younger sister Cathy)
Next is Cathy (left), Brittany (Lisa's other daughter) and Wade (Cathy's husband)
It was great to see everyone and glad that we were all able to make it out to Arizona for a visit!! Thank you all for a great time!!

Harley Davidson...

On Friday Richie and his brother in law, Wade, from Virginia rented a couple of Harleys and went for a ride up to Prescot, AZ...They brought the bikes by so that everyone could see them...(ours sounds better!!!hahaha and it isn't even a Harley). They came back to the house around dinner time and parked the bikes in the backyard for the night and on Saturday they rolled them out to the street and let the kids sit on them before returning them to the store.

You will have to ask the guys abou there trip, they got pulled over for "aggressively" pulling into traffic. The cop came up and before asking for their information told them that he wasn't going to give them a ticket!! Thank God!! The cop was really cool with the guys and let them go.

Grand Canyon...

I am going to have to split up these posts, there are so many pics, I am having trouble picking my favorites...Thursday we drove up to the Grand Canyon (I was scared to death, with the kids). All worked out and all kids are accounted for!!! hahaha
The weather could not have been better for the occassion!! The sun was out and we had a great time!!

We were on our way out when we asked the kids to sit down for a second to get a picture of them all together. Grace 3, Seth 5, Julia 21 months, Connor 7.

Where to start?

I don't know where to start with this post...tell you about Seth and his doc appts or Arizona trip...Well I guess I will start with Seth because it leads into our trip.

So, on Monday 4/6 I took Seth to the doctor because he has been coughing and wheezing since fall began. He has always had allergy problems since he was little, but this was getting ridiculous. I finally had enough interupted nights of sleep and him being crabby because he wasn't getting enough sleep. So, the doctor put him on singulair and albuterol. The first night we all slept like babies...YAY!!! We went to Arizona on Weds (4/8)...(btw-there is more to this story but will get to it after the trip)
The trip was great. We had a blast visiting with Richie's family. As soon as we got to his parents house the kids were wired (partly from being on a plane for half a day and partly from seeing their cousins) We decided to take the kids to the park to burn off some of that energy. The little ones played on the slides and swings while the older ones played frisbee in the grass...
Grace working out her arms and hitting her face in the process...LOL
Seth and Conner (7) playing on the equipment...

Coach pitch has begun...

YAY!!! Seth is so excited about this it isn't even funny. For the past month he was been asking about when his first practice is going to be. Well, we finally got a call from the coach that practice would be Saturday at noon. Richie took Seth out after school on Friday to get him some new pants and cleats. Today has been a REALLY busy day. We got up and I got everything ready for the day, as we were going to be out all day. We loaded up into the car and headed to practice. After about 5 minutes of trying to guess which team was his we finally found it. The kids were all excited about starting the day.

This year Seth is in coach pitch/t-ball. This means that they can choose to have the coach pitch or hit from the T. If they decide to have the coach pitch, he will throw three balls and if the child can not hit them they will break out the T for them. First they did some throwing exercises and then some fielding. Finally it was batting practice. I think this is the favorite part of practice for all the kids...hahaha Grace wanted to help so she got all of Seth's gear ready for him!!
Richie and I work with Seth all the time on his practice and he was the last one to bat. He asked the coach to pitch to him and he nailed that ball...I was soooo excited for him. He had a smile on his face from ear to ear because he was the only one on the team to hit from a pitch!!!
WAY TO GO BUDDY!!! We love you!!

Friday Night...

Seth was sitting at the table eating dinner with the rest of us and we were talking about school. He was telling us all about music and how he was learning the Star Spangled Banner. Then all of a sudden he came up from his plate and said that he got A's phone number today. I was like ok, well, we will have to give the parents a call sometime and see if A would want to come over and play or we could meet up at the park someday. Richie was getting ready for baseball practice and was listening to the conversation and asked who A was, Seth replied, "a GIRL in my class..."

What? He just got his first phone number...LOL

***Believe me I am in no hurry for this, it was just cute!!!

Thursday afternoon...

In case you haven't figured out, we are very lazy around here...nothing exciting in about a week and a half. Mom called the other day and said that I needed to update this so on Thursday I broke out the camera.

On Thursdays I watch two adorable brothers. F is 3 and B is 7 months old. B was sleeping so I took the two older ones outside to play with sidewalk paint or chalk (their choice)...of course Grace went for the paint!!

They quickly got bored and wanted to play in the backyard so we went out and they played on the little slide. They are so good together, they were playing rescue heros!!
