Mother's Day at Grace's School...
Grace's pre-school class only had 4 kids so they had a cute little party for Mother's Day. They sang songs for us and made lots of pictures. All of the girls were so cute and loved performing for the moms. Grace starts Kindergarten in 3 days and I am getting closer to being a scattered brained woman. I kept telling myself for the past 2 years that she is so ready for Kindergarten (and she is), but then something else hits me that she is the last!!
Easter...
Since Mom was leaving on Easter Sunday we decided to have Easter Saturday at the house. We colored eggs the night before and the kids went hunting the next morning. We had a lot of fun while Mom was here and can't wait to see her again. (Although, by the time I have written this we have spent 2 months in Illinois...LOL)
Gulfarium...
Akers of Strawberries...
So, this is the way it works around here...Lots of stuff going on and then you buy a Kindle and then you don't update anything because you are reading all the time. Here it is August and the kids are getting ready to start school in 3 days and the last time I updated this was in April, not to mention that the first few posts happened in April as well...LOL
So for starters, Richie deployed at the beginning of April and so Mom came down for her Spring Break for a week at Easter. We went to the beach and strawberry picking. Akers of Strawberries was very nice. The strawberries were HUGE!! We brought home 10 pounds of berries and I think we chocolate covered probably half of them!!

Yellow Belt!!
What was I thinking? I was going through the pictures on the computer and noticed something missing...KARATE! Seth has been taking Tae Kwon Do for 3 months and tested for his yellow belt and HE MADE IT!! This was a huge production...the demonstration teams performed. His instructors are Mr. Kiley and Mrs. Lawrence. He loves going to class and has now even talked about the black belt training program. With baseball and soccer involvement we have enrolled him in afterschool care at the Karate school. The bus drops him off 3 times a week and he gets his homework done and karate class all before I pick him up. It is wonderful.
Piano Recital!!
Grace started taking piano lessons at Harbor Music School in Navarre, FL about 3 months ago. She has truly enjoyed learning and even convinced Richie to pull out the cello for a duet!! Recently they held a recital for the kids and she was so excited. She played Mary Had A Little Lamb. Before we left the house she had to make sure she "looked pretty". She picked out everything right down to the color eye shadow...LOL I asked her if I could take a couple of pics before leaving the house and this is what I got...
REALLY?!?!?!?!?
Tye Gazoo is her teacher and he is excellent. Being that Richie was a music major in college, I was very picky about an instructor for Grace.

Spring Break...
Yep, we traveled for spring break, straight down to Boynton Beach, FL. Aunt Bug and Uncle Mike graciously opened their home to us to invade for 5 days. They have a beautiful home in a great community. We really enjoyed visiting with them and hanging out. We went to the pool one day and also to a couple of nature preserves in the area. We were on a mission to see an alligator in its natural habitat!! On our last day we accomplished it!! We read books on the back patio and laid in the grass, grilled hot dogs and burgers and had a BLAST with family!!!
