Vacation Time. This year we decided to take a family vacation. Myrtle Beach, SC was the destination of choice. We got there on Sunday night and took the kids to see the ocean and take a walk (considering we were locked in a car for 16 hours LOL). Seth really seemed to like walking through the water with Richie and watching the waves. Grace really didn't want anything to do with the water. (Who's baby is she? not liking water!!) She is definitely her Nina's grand baby. Grace hates shoes on her feet and perfectly happy in the sand and sun.
Wednesday we drove to Charleston, SC (about 2 hours away) to visit a friend of mine that I hadn't seen in about 10 years. She has a wonderful husband and adorable little boy, Hayden. He is 10 months younger than Grace. We decided to go strawberry picking. This is Hayden in the mud. He wanted nothing to do with the berries. LOL (Annie, I could so see Abby right next to him in the mud.) I thought for sure mine would have been in the mud too, but NO, they were more interested in the food. LOL
This is Sarah Emily, she was the first person I met when I moved here in 1989. We have been friends ever since, even through numerous moves due to military fathers. It was so great to see her and her family.

Thursday we went to the beach in the morning. Here is Grace, my beach bum, strutin her stuff. She is just like her daddy and nina, tans in the shade. No matter how much sunscreen you put on her, she still has tan lines.
We went to the Hard Rock Cafe for dinner on Thursday night before seeing Le Grande Cirque at the Palace Theatre. The kids called it the "circus". They were glued to the stage. Richie was called up to the stage with a few other men and were made fun of. I about peed my pants laughing so hard. LOL
Friday we went to Huntington State Park and saw the castle and sand dunes. We saw the alligators and lots of good clean sand.
Saturday was kind of rainy so we decided to do something that could be done inside too. We went to the Nascar Speedpark. Seth actually got the drive the car himself. What a big boy! The rain held out for us until later in the afternoon. We took a nap and then met Aimee and her family at her Uncle's house for dinner that night.
We had an excellent time there, and if anyone is interested in the resort we stayed at, let me know, Iwill give you details. The resort was awesome, it had a waterpark in the resort. We spent most of our time there. Very reasonably priced.
Next year: Lake Michigan.
