Winter Wonderland of Lights...

The other night Richie and I took the kids and drove through Horner Park in Lebanon to look at all the light displays...The kids picked out their favorites and likes driving through the arches that were lit up.

Santa is Coming to Town...

Last Saturday we went to Missy's work because Santa was making a visit there. They did a great job of decorating the office and lots of snacks for the kids (and Santa).

Christmas Projects for 2009...

Each year, we give our closest friends a little something for the holidays...usually a craft of some sort. This year we went with snowmen. About 8 years ago, my mom and dad made reindeer for everyone and even mailed it overseas to us for christmas. Richie and I were talking about what we were going to do this year, and even thought about "stealing" Dad's plans for the reindeer...Hahaha!!! But we thought longer and harder and came up with this!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

This is what our Thanksgiving morning looked like this year!!! Both kids had been running fevers for 5 days and I was starting to think it was more than just the "flu" since they developed a horrible cough and sore throats. I was starting to wonder about strep, so we took them in and come to find out they didn't even have the "flu" or strep, they had walking "viral" pneumonia... They were both given antibiotics even though it was a virus, to make sure nothing else came of it. It is now Saturday and we have finally left the house for a couple of hours since last Sunday night...

Saturday night we went over to Luke and Tiffani's for trick or treating this year. We have Erin (S.W.A.T), Seth (Ghost Rider), Grace (princess), Pearl (Little Bo Beep), Ben (sheep)...

After the first few houses Grace looked more like a zombie princess...

The kids had a great time!! They made out like bandits this year. Grace did good with all the scary stuff until we got to the last house of the night. I had my back turned to the kids talking to Luke and Tiffani and Mom started laughing hysterically. I turned around to see Grace sliding on the concrete because she was running away from the "witch" that answered the door. Grace looked like she was sliding into home plate, trying to get away from the witch as fast as she could. I got her up and walked to the house with her and she finally said HI to the lady and realized it was pretend. (I will say, that witch costume definitely took some time doing).
Thank you Mom, Luke and Tiffani, we had a GREAT time!!!

Good Night Gracie...

Friday night Richie and I went out for dinner and when we got home, the sitter said she didn't hear a peep out of Grace after putting her to bed (this is not normal...if there is a sitter, she will usually fight going to sleep). I walked in to check on her and this is how I found her. A couple of years ago my aunt and uncle were visiting and the kids loved the eye masks that my aunt had, so when she got home she found a couple of them and sent them to the kids. They have been down in the basement until recently. Grace brought it upstairs and it hangs on her bed post during the day and after I read a book to her and Richie sings, she grabs them and puts them on. We don't hear anything from her until morning. She cracks me up.

Mom and I went to Old Navy on Saturday before trick or treating and while we were walking around Grace found some masks wrapped around some soft pillows and was trying them on. LOL Of all the things/clothes at Old Navy, she was more interested in how the eye masks felt on her face!!!

Red Ribbon Week...

Last week was Red Ribbon week at school and each day the kids could wear different things to school. Monday was red day, so Seth wore a red shirt and we spiked his hair and sprayed it red. All the kids at school thought that was cool...of course I forget to take pictures...ugh...

Tuesday was "Drugs and I don't mix", so the kids wore mismatched clothes...

Wednesday was "Turn your back on drugs" and they wore their clothes backwards...

Thursday was "Put a cap on drugs" and they wore hats to school...

Friday was "Team up against drugs"...and once again I forgot to take a picture. Seth wore his jersey that Richie's baseball team gave him this summer.
